2007 Update: Here is an update I got from Rolf: Kill All Resistance is in need of a drummer, and bassist, from the Chicagoland/northwest indiana area. Right now I'm putting songs together to record another demo and need a capable drummer.

2006 Update 3:
Received the following email from Rolf: Kill All Resistance is together again after a three month haitus. The lineup is Austin-drums, Schwag-bass, Rolf-guitar/vocals. I'm in a kult black metal band named Infidel that's in the vein of Gorgoroth, early Mayhem, early Bathory. Austin's on drums, I'm on rhythm guitar, and our friend Rob (also in Chicago bm band Ezurate) on lead guitar, songwriting and vocals. We're supposed to be recruiting the bassist from Ezurate also to complete the lineup. I'm in two unnamed devolping hardcore bands And I'm in an anarchist/porno crust band called Anal Crucifix with myself on guitar, Schwag on bass, and Chris on drums. We're looking for a singer since the other dude ran away. http://www.myspace.com/moshshitup

2006 Update 2:
Received the following email from Rolf: What's up? Thought that I would let you know that Kill All Resistance is no more. I am burnt out on playing death metal and am honestly not that interested in the metal scene anymore. There are cool individuals, but for the most part I think that it's an elitist pissing contest with everyone wanting all the credit they can get for their work and turning things into a sport by being the 'sickest', or the 'fastest'. Instead I am interested in playing crust, grind, or hardcore. I still love metal music, don't get me wrong, but it is a lot different than it was in the 80's or early 90's.

2006 Update:
Here is what I got from the band: What's up Jen! We, Kill All Resistance, have a 2006 demo out with six tracks (available here and here). We've been doing shows here and there and some of us are involved in other bands on the side. There's also full-length in the works that will be professionally mastered, along with friends doing guest vocals. Aside from that we've been busy working, refining our sound, and writing new songs.
Current lineup: Rolf - Guitar/vocals; Lonnie - Bass; Austin - Drums
Demo 2006 track listing: 1. Fuck Everyone Else; 2. Only In America; 3. Self-Destruct; 4. Lust; 5. Blood Purge; 6. Murder Necessity

2005 Update:
These guys haven't updated their web site in forever. No new news.

Interview with Jared of Inviscerated, by Jen

Give me some Inviscerated background
We're a straightforward, thrash-oriented, progressing death metal band from Niles, Mi. Our music is complicated, organized and violent. We write about mass killing, politics, history, and being pissed. We are fueled by our frustrations with other people and other bands that are polluting the scene nowadays with generic bullshit. Everyone has the same objective. Everyone is either trying to be the "sickest" or the "most brutal" or "the fastest" or "the heaviest" or trying to be original by mixing styles of music. We don't give a fuck about any of that. We think that being brutal heavy fast and sick shouldn't be so much of an effort. What I mean by mixing styles of music, is that a lot of newer bands are having a song with a funk part, a death metal part, a part with clean vocals, and shit like that. Originality doesn't always come from the different instruments you play or whatever styles of music you mix, but the tunes and the melodies you come up with. Back in the days of classical/baroque music, Bach, Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven all had the same instruments and no distortion. They were separated by the notes they played. That's what I mean when I talk about originality.
Why did you decide to redo your first demo, Humanicide?
We didn't really redo it, we just cleaned up the tracks and put it out that way. It sounds a hell of a lot better and the instruments are more balanced. The only song we really redid was 4ft Nympho and since it was the easiest song for us to play we just did that. It was redone to demonstrate the newer, more aggressive sound we're taking in comparison to the original shit we recorded.
You were supposed to do a split with Basura in 2002. Do you think that will still happen sometime in the future?
Yea, but it won't be in the immediate future because Basura has a lot of people on their "to do splits with" list. So we're not going to bother them right away. We have our own plans with our music right now.
How is the new demo coming along? When will it be released?
We have two new songs completed since Humanicide and about 4 are in the works. Since we got hooked up with Reaper Records U.S.A. the guys and I decided to just release an actual album with the Humanicide tracks redone. The guys at Reaper keep suggesting me to put out the Humanicide demo under their name because they like it so much. I think I will, I dunno. The titles of the post-Humanicide songs are: Murder Necessity?, I Hate Shit, Fulfilling Bloodlust, Mort En Hiver, She's Just a Stupid Bitch, and Kill All Resistance. The album is going to be self-produced (again) and should be released before this year ends. I'd like to see it come out at least during this summer.
For someone who never heard you before, how would you describe your music?
Ok, I described this already in the first couple lines in the first question, but since the question is focused on this topic I'll tell more about it. We are death metal. Our music isn't for everybody, you won't get anything out of it if you're tone deaf, or if you don't understand tempo changes. Our drums are beyond a snare-bass-snare-bass beat. Our music varies speeds but it usually stays within the vicinity of thrash. We are very old-school sounding because that's all we really listen to. Lyrical topics include violence, being pissed, frustrations, and we're leaning more towards politics and history. Oh yeah, and we don't have guitar solos.
In your bio, it says you guys have no bull shit, and that includes keyboards, studio effects, etc. Can you explain that?
Hell yeah I can. One of the rules we stress in the band is that if you can't do it live, don't do it at all. We believe that a bands true talent is displayed when they play live, not when they're in the studio. A studio is a controlled environment where mistakes can be edited or someone's sound can be glossed over to sound better. Fuck that. With us, what you hear is what you get. I'm the only guitarist in the band, so there's not going to be two guitar tracks on our albums. We have a bassist, and you'll be able to hear him. We're not going to have a bunch of fancy chorus or flange effects in anything unless we've got the pedals to do it live. We don't like keyboards because they're fuckin gay. I don't care what anybody says, you can't rock out and look hardcore with a fuckin keyboard. Keyboards should stick to black metal anyway. The farthest we’ll go is movie intros/outros. We're not trying to push ourselves into a hole, we're just cutting the bullshit. And I hate bullshit.
Who are some bands you listen to?
A shitload. Classical, some old school hardcore punk, some classic rock, and pretty much all forms of extreme metal except for shitty nu-metal (that's not even fuckin extreme!). I primarily listen to traditional death metal and 80's thrash. Here's some examples: SLAYER (GHUA kicks ass and you know it. Seasons was weak.), Megadeth (everything but Risk), pre-black album Metallica, pre-Roots Sepultura, Exodus, Cannibal Corpse (old and new), Napalm Death, SFU, Deicide, Krisiun, Illnath, Venom, Death (RIP Chuck), Deeds of Flesh, Lividity, Morbid Angel, Kittie (post-Spit). I don't really care about Judas Priest or Iron Maiden.
Influences of the band?
Frustrations, George Bush, religious hotshots, activists and extremists, the shitty local scene, the dumbass kids at school, my mom. I can't really point my finger at a specific set of bands. But I can tell you the albums that make me write. Sepultura - Beneath the Remains, Cannibal Corpse - Butchered at Birth and Gallery of Suicide, pretty much all Slayer albums, especially Divine Intervention and God Hates Us All, Metallica - Kill em All, all Megadeth albums except Risk, SFU's stuff, Napalm Death - Harmony Corruption, Nile - In Their Darkened Shrines. I really like the Scott Morrison albums.
Who writes the songs and what are they primarily about?
All the songs we've gotten done are ones that I've written. I let Austin or Nathan pretty much do whatever the fuck they want when it comes to their parts. Pretty much the most I'll tell them is the feeling I want to get across in the song or the tempo. Again, the songs are about violence, frustrations, being pissed, but we're leaning towards politics and European history. Nathan is writing "Fulfilling Bloodlust" and Austin is pretty much doing " She's Just a Stupid Bitch".
Do you get to play out a lot? Who are some bands you have played with?
No, our upcoming show at Mick's Pub in Elkhart, In on the 29th will be our 4th gig ever. The scene here sucks fuck. All the metalheads at my school are in my band. A couple places got shut down. We've played with Painslave (great guys), Contratption 7 and Deadweight. Those last two bands suck. They inspire us to keep writing the music we do (thanks guys!). We will be playing with some real bands though, like Necrodemon and Painslave. If things go well we'll be able to play at Metalfest within the next year. Then we'll be with even better bands!
Give me the one horror story of playing. Every band has them and we want to know about yours.
Ok, at the 4H show at the beginning of February we played with Painslave, Contraption 7 and Deadweight. We borrowed my ex-girlfriend's van to get there. Since I don't know my way around the area and got several sets of directions we were an hour late to the show (not good if you're the opening act!) and had to set up really fast. That wasn't so bad, the bad part was that our drummer was just getting over a fever and made lots of mistakes. Since he was sick he didn't get to play for a week before the show and that fucked us up real bad. He had to make up parts as he went through the songs. A handful of people liked us though (and a handful didn't. Fuck em, they were probably there to see the nu-metal bands anyway.) and we sold some demos and I signed some autographs! So it wasn't all that bad, but it sucked enough. I'd like to play there again with the same bands and make up for it.
Anything else you would like to add?
Be open and don't be a picky asshole! That seems to be a problem with the American metal following.
