Update: They have redesigned their web site and I do have to say
it kicks ass. Still no new releases.
Korovakill
interview with Christof Niederwieser by Jen
When
and how did Korovakill form?
KorovaKill started in Summer 2000 after the Killing of our former Band
Korova.
Where you on any labels before Red Stream records
in the past?
KorovaKill did exclusively sign to Red Stream. Korova have released two
Albums through the Austrian Label NAPALM RECORDS - "A Kiss in the
Charnel Fields" (1995) and "Dead like an Angel" (1998).
Are you pleased with the way Red Stream are
treating you?
Yes, so far we are very satisfied with their Support. After all it's not
so easy to promote our Style and spread our Stuff. We are a bit too far
away from the Metal Norms, so we are really hard Work for them...Patrick
has remained one of the few Persons within the Scene, who is looking beyond
the limited Horizon of Fashions and Trends...the last pure Warrior in
this dirty Mass of idealness Germs.
Have you ever met Patrick's donkey Pierre?
I don't think that it is funny at all to make Jokes about Patrick's Donkey
Pierre.
Have you played any shows in the states before?
So far we just destroyed Europe between 1991 and 1999 with Korova. With
KorovaKill there won't be any Live Performances.
When was the latest CD released?
Our latest CD "WaterHells" was released in the Aquarius of 2001.
Are you in the process or writing any new material
right now?
Our new Material is already finished, but we want to wait a bit before
releasing it. Before 2002 nothing will happen.
Tell us about the other releases you also have
available?
"A Kiss in the Charnel Fields" was released in 1995. Due to
many People this was our Major Work so far. The Production is pretty bad
on the CD-Version, but the LP-Version is still a real Killer.
"Dead like an Angel" was released in 1998. We got much calmer
on this Album, especially compared with the raving Mania of "Charnel
Field"...It wa our "Blue Album", dealing with fragile Webs
of Perception...and what is lying beyond.
What bands/tours have you been on before?
We've been on the first Europe-Tour of Cradle of Filth in 1995 (but it
was cancelled). Gigs were played with Bands like Belphegor, Dreams of
Sanity or Amortis. Most Times we played with Bands from outside the Metal
Scene...you wouldn't know their Names.
For someone who has never heard of you guys
before, how would you describe your music to them?
Music against the Untermensch!
Who is your favorite band and why?
If I ever had a favorite Band in my Lifetime it was ADAM & THE ANTS.
Anything else you would like to add?
May I have a Date with you?...and yes...visit our Spiderweb-Site: http://www.korovakill.com/
