NASTY
SAVAGE- Psycho Psycho
Another release from Nasty Savage. This has 11 new songs and a re-recording
of an older song, 'Savage Desire'. This also has some guests on the
album, Chris Jericho, the wrestler and singer for Fozzy appears on a
few songs and then Marin from Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles provides
some liner notes. These guys remind of me old DRI. A must getfor old
school thrash fans.
NASTY
SAVAGE- Wage of Mayhem
Some old and new stuff from the thrash/heavy metal band. This has 4
original songs from the demo of 1983 and 2 new songs which were recorded
in 2002. Two of the older songs were never released and the other two
are very different than the original. For Nasty Savage fan, I would
say this is a must get. They will be headlining the Classic Metalfest
3 in Chicago.
I4NI- It's all Fun and Games
I'm not sure if I like this or not. It sounds like rock. This is a combination
of 2 demo's put together. The production isn't the greatest, it's a
little hard to hear the drums and guitar when the singer has backing
vocals. There are some melodic grooves and harmonies.
LOWBROW-
Sex, Violence, Death
I liked their last album and I like this one too. The production is
a little rough, but that's okay. This is a death metal band from Florida.
This has Allen West, who use to play in 6FU. Some of the members are
also from Nasty Savage, who was a big thrash band in the 80's.
MNETAL
INFLECTION- Fear of a Mental Planet
The vocals in this are a little low. This is some death metal. They
are pretty fast. There are some guitar solo's in this too. From what
I can hear, the drummer sounds pretty good. This isn't too bad.
OVERDRIVE-
Mission of Destruction LIVE
This is a live CD. The sounds isn't the greatest, but it's live. They
are from oversea's somewhere, I believe Sweden. The guitar sounds like
Swedish death metal. The vocals remind me of power metal. I don't think
he is singing in English either.
LOWBROW-
Victims At Play
The vocals here remind me of Chris Barnes. This is some death metal,
but the music isn't super fast. I'm not hearing blast beats or anything
like that. The music is real heavy, more like a thrash metal, but it
fits with the vocals. Sounds good to me.
