August 13, 2007 Update: MUNICIPAL WASTE FOOTAGE FROM SELL-OUT
LONDON GIG ONLINE NOW
Fresh from a show-stopping Wacken slot, on Friday August 10th Virginian
thrashers Municipal Waste played an annihilating gig in front of a manic
sell-out crowd at The Underworld in London, supported by label-mates S.S.S.
With boogie boards, shark costumes and the infamous inebriator, Municipal
Waste pulled out all the stops to deliver a sweat-induced, high-speed, all-out
thrash performance to a rabid and boundless audience. The night of chaos
and carnage didn't stop there, as Municipal Waste took the fun to London's
Mean Fiddler for an after-show party, where they proceeded with their partying
antics by holding a Beer Bong competition - challenging fans to drink from
the famed 'Inebriator'. Municipal Waste will be back in the UK to thrash
it out in their own unique party style all over again. 'The Art Of Partying'
is available to buy now.

Cinders Fall, Toy Town Cash and Snakebite. Tickets are 12.50GBP and doors
open at 4.30pm. You can still pick up a copy of 'Antichrist' from the Earache

THE
BERZERKER
Wow. I don't know what to say, this is insane!! The only thing I don't
like, is the production is horrible. Other than that, this rips! Death
metal and I would even say this has a little bit of industrial mixed in.
Get this!
CATHERDRAL-Endtyme
I was never really a fan of these guys and I'm still not. I don't like
the vocals. I don't like their long intro's to the songs. The vocals remind
me of Coal Chamber. Songs are just way too long.
DECAPITATED-Winds
of Creation
This is another excellent one. The vocals are real low death metal vocals.
The drummer is INSANE. He is flying. I think their drummer is going to
be 16 this year?! They sound like they have been playing for forever,
but they are soo young. This is one for the collection!
GANDALF-Rock
Hell
I dig this a lot. The music is real simple, something I would have heard
in the 80's. But it isn't cheesy. The vocals are a little hard to explain,
he has a couple things going on. It's not death metal vocals, with the
growls or anything. There are a little higher, almost like the scratchy
vocals I like. They have some real singing going on too, like power metal
sounding. Thumbs up.
GARDEN
OF SHADOWS-Oracle Moon
This starts off right away with the blast beats and the death vocals.
Perfect. This is the debut CD on Earache for these guys. There is a touch
of black metal screams in here too. The guitar sound is incredible, it
sounds like they are doing real technical stuff.
THE
HAUNTED-The Haunted Made Me Do It
A friend of mine kept talking about these guys and when I got the promo,
I told him he could have it before hearing it. For some reason I thought
this was a goth band. So the day I was suppose to give it to him, I listened
to it and I swear, if I could have kicked myself in the ass, I would have.
I had to go out and get it the day it came out. This is by far the best
release I have gotten in a long time. I heard this isn't anything compared
to their first release! They are so fast and so tight, it is unbelievable.
This is definitely a release everyone needs to have.
AC-It
Just Gets Worse
The only thing I have ever heard from these guys, is that song, Kyle from
Incantation has a mustache. That is it. This doesn't sound any different
from that. With song titles like, I like Drugs and Child Abuse, You Rollerblading
Faggot, I Fucked Your Wife, how could you go wrong? This is funny as shit.
I like it.
BIOTORCH
The is okay. This is another that can pass for death or black metal. The
vocals are a toss up, I'm not sure what they are, I don't think they are
death, but they don't sound like black either. There are some death metal
vocals here and there. The music is fast, but not super heavy or anything.
HATE
ETERNAL -Conquering the Throne
This is some pretty good shit. This is death metal, and the vocals sound
really familiar, like I have heard them before. But they are real good.
The drummer is real fast, the double bass sounds like a machine gun. There
is a black metal vocal here and there, but from what I heard, this is
mostly death. There are some real cool riffs too. I'm impressed!
MORTIS-The
Stargate
This is the first album by him that I have. So I don't have anything to
compare this to. For some reason, I thought this was going to be black
metal. But this is more like an instrumental or something like that. There
are female vocals which are real soothing. I like them. Then the male
vocals are kinda gay. I'm not even sure how to describe them. It didn't
seem like the male vocals were used that much. So if this is what it is
suppose to sound like, then go and get it!
PULKAS-
Greed
These guys are great too. See the review for PISSING RAZORS, the same
applies here!
