2007 Update: From Michael Knight - Electric Horrorland is here! My 3rd full-length instrumental release is a total shred fest - by far my heaviest release to date. In fact Im promoting it as one of the heaviest guitar instrumental CDs ever recorded. I got moshable chug riffs, break-neck thrash styles and dark, ominous chord changes. My lead guitar work on this CD is a frenzied lunacy of freestyle guitar solos that bastardize traditional scale theory and usage. (sounds cool, heh? I just made that up!) I really wanted to play outside-the-box. I borrowed some of the chromatic and symmetrical ideas of early fusion pioneers. I pushed the boundaries of these concepts as far as I could while still trying to retain some musicality. The general concept behind Electric Horrorland is to pay homage to some of my favorite video games. Twisted Metal, Resident Evil, Ghost Recon are some of the song titles and I tried to capture the action, excitement and violence that you experience in game playing. If you are in need of some in-the-moment, raw power and energy, Game on! Check out a few songs above on my myspace player. OK, so if you like this stuff, please buy my cd. I borrowed a lot of money to make this CD and I need to pay off the loan shark before he rubs me out. Michael Knight - Electric Horrorland CD - $15. Feels like Christmas! I wonder if work will be mad if I wear the necklace to work? Oh well. Anyway, this is a metal band with some melodic vocals. They do mention Iron Maiden, Priest and Sabbath in their influences and I can hear Maiden and Priest in their music sound. Musically impressive and has a very good sound. MICHAEL
